Riverside Inverclyde Returns To Sponsor SBS18

Riverside Inverclyde Returns To Sponsor Scotland’s Boat Show 2018

Riverside Inverclyde (Ri), the organisation delivering the economic redevelopment of Inverclyde in the west of Scotland, is delighted to announce it has extended its sponsorship of Scotland’s Boat Show at Kip Marina, Inverkip for a third year.

As a result of the sponsorship, a new 40m Riverside Inverclyde pavilion and courtyard will be available offering covered exhibition space for boats and leisure exhibitors.

In addition, a new addition to the 2018 event will be the Taste Inverclyde ‘Taste Tent’ pavilion, offering Inverclyde food manufacturers and businesses the opportunity to promote their offerings to crowds of over 12,000.

The enclosed and floored area will be interconnected to the extremely popular West College Scotland Food & Drink pavilion, which includes a food demonstration kitchen and theatre.

Scotland’s Boat Show (SBS) is the Largest Brokerage (pre-owned) boat show in the UK, the largest boat show in Scotland and third largest boat show in the UK, attracting over 12,000 visitors with 70% coming from outwith Inverclyde.

Kevin Blamire, Marketing Manager of Kip Marina said:  “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Ri for a third year, whilst welcoming Taste Inverclyde as a new partner to Scotland’s Boat Show, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.

“The support of Ri is invaluable to help ensure we can deliver an improved show. Without the support of our partners we wouldn’t be able to provide the outstanding national event that we deliver here in Inverclyde.”

Scotland’s Boat Show has made significant improvements for 2018, vastly increasing the amount of undercover exhibition space for exhibitors and visitors.  A completely new layout of the show has been designed in a bid to further increase footfall in key areas with an aim to provide visitors and exhibitors an enhanced experience and level of comfort.

Andrew Bowman, Riverside Inverclyde’s Head of Business Investment & Operations said: “We’re delighted to continue our sponsorship with Scotland’s Boat Show and it provides Ri the perfect opportunity to showcase the ongoing regeneration of Inverclyde to visitors, residents and investors.

“The maritime sector is an area of targeted growth for Ri alongside other growth sectors like Food and Drink so it is fantastic to be able to provide the Taste Inverclyde ‘Taste Tent’ after its debut success at the Gourock Highland Games, providing free opportunities for fledgling Inverclyde businesses.”

Scotland’s Boat Show takes place at Kip Marina, Inverclyde on the 12th, 13th and 14th October 2018 and admission is free, with car parking a nominal £5 per vehicle.
