Join celebrity chef Nick Nairn live at Scotland’s Boat Show 2017 in the West College Scotland Food & Drink Pavilion

After last year’s extremely popular live demonstrations, Celebrity Chef Nick Nairn returns for SBS17 working with the Hospitality Students of West College Scotland on the demonstration kitchen and stage where visitors can enjoy daily free displays from Nick and the students.

Nick first discovered a love of food while travelling the world with the Merchant Navy, but it wasn’t until his student days that he taught himself how to cook. In 1986, he opened his first restaurant, Braeval, through which he won his first Michelin Star, and in 1997, he opened Nairn’s restaurant in Glasgow. By this time he’d also begun his successful television career with appearances on the BBC’s Ready Steady Cook, and his own series, Wild Harvest, Wild Harvest 2 and Island Harvest. Further shows included Nick Nairn and the Dinner Ladies, and a winning appearance on Great British Menu, which resulted in him cooking lunch for The Queen on her 80th birthday.

Nick’s demonstrations last year won him even more admirers so we expect this to be an extremely popular event.

The West College Food & Drink Pavilion will be full of unique Scottish food and drink producers in a ‘street market’ style setting with everything from Alba Seafoods, Erincroft Bakery, The Damn Fine Cheese Company, Gigha Halibut, Artisan Gin and many, many more.
