‘Get Afloat’ with RYA Scotland

Always hankered after a boat but not sure how to begin?

Then visit Scotland’s Boat Show 2018!

Whether it’s sailing, powerboats, dinghies, RIBs, jetskis, paddleboards, or kayaks that take your fancy, there will be experts from owner’s associations and manufacturers to help and offer advice on how to get involved whatever your interest.

New in the RYA Scotland Pavilion for 2018 is the ‘Sika Marine’ Stage & Theatre, which is the venue for three days of free lectures and presentations in association with the Cruising Association. On offer will be a series of entertaining free lectures on subjects ranging from expert advice on buying a second-hand boat to cruising around Britain.

To actually get on water at SBS18 join one of the RYA ScotlandFree Taster Sessions’ which allow visitors to try yachts, motor yachts, RIB driving and dinghy sailing in the safe environment of Kip Marina during the show under the expert eye of RYA Scotland’s partners SportScotland National Centre Cumbrae, Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, Clyde Muirshiel Country Park and You and Sea Training.

The programme of on-water experiences can be booked in advance via a new online booking service which is now open or book at the RYA Scotland Pavilion on the day of your visit!

From a cruising yacht to a motor cruiser or from a fast RIB ride to fully accessible dinghies, visitors to the show will have the opportunity to get afloat with RYA Scotland at SBS18 as we aim to bring a new generation to boating in Scotland across all age groups and abilities.
